Buying the Best Plasma TV - Practical Tips and Advice

Even if you already have a brand in mind, you'll probably find it difficult to choose a plasma TV without re-thinking your original choice. There is such a wide variety of brands and models to choose from that picking one becomes an all-out technological and mental excursion. But let's take much of the confusing science away and get down on the nitty-gritty. Here are some practical tips for choosing the best plasma TV and a few brands you might want to take a look at.

Size

It's hard not to fall in love at first sight with a plasma TV. They're thin, sleek and smooth, capable of high quality picture display. They're also not shy about size. In fact plasma TVs are often more impressive the larger they are. If you're seeking the best TV option for you with a mind for size, then the plasma TV is your choice.

Picture quality

When viewing two or more brands side by side, it's always easy to see the best plasma TV set because of its distinctive picture quality. These units are capable of producing real colours, so a display of a field of flowers won't come out as a blur.

Speaking of blur, the best plasma TVs today are also excellent in displaying smoother images even with fast or high speed action scenes.

Burn-in issues?

This was a major concern with plasma TVs in the past. However, with new technologies that allow for minimizing the use of the screen, this risk is significantly reduced and should no longer be a problem.

Best Plasma TV brands

If you're in the market for premium offers, then consider known brands and manufacturers of plasma TVs. A few you might consider:

Pioneer

Pioneer has always been known to produce high premium units, so if you prefer a slightly snobbish appeal for your newest toy, go for this brand. The Pro series is one of its best picks. Picture quality is tops, colour is explosive and intense (in a very good way) and images are sharp and true.

Where some plasma TVs have tried and failed, Pioneer has come out a winner. Black is deep and dark, so there's no need for your eyes and brain to compensate because the TV will do it for you. Pioneer definitely offers some of the best plasma TVs around. Just be prepared to pay premium as well, since this brand does not allow you to skimp on price.

Panasonic

If you prefer a more affordable unit, consider some of the models currently being offered by Panasonic. This brand doesn't have the snob appeal so much but it does deliver in terms of picture and audio quality. It's actually one very good reason why having a home theatre system is not impossible any more. Furthermore, you don't need to pay a lot just to bring a Panasonic plasma TV home - it costs about 50% less than a Pioneer.

Samsung

This Korean brand has gone a long way and is now one of the leading manufacturers of the best plasma TVs in the world. Side by side older brands such as Sony and Pioneer, Samsung is definitely a serious contender.

Other brands to check out:

Consider manufacturers such as Philips, LG and Hitachi. They have some of the best plasma TV models today, comparable in performance and quality to the top brands. If price is an issue, consider brands such as Vizio or Maxent. These brands may not have the same name recall as the others but they are slowly building a strong following, thanks to units featuring some excellent features.

A Good Case for iPod

Just got that new iPod? Or just thinking about buying one?

Here's something else to think about. Whatever else you do with your iPod, protect it. The average iPod owner spends $40 on iPod accessories like external speakers, alarm clock docking stations, FM transmitters, and car chargers. Many of them are not spending any of that money on protection. There are any number of iPod skins and cases on the market. There's bound to be one to suit you.

Why does your iPod need protection?

Because, as great as they are, iPods are notorious for screen scratches, click wheel scratches, mirrored back scratches and even faceplate scratches.

Just handling your iPod can cause scratches. And they are somewhat fragile when dropped on hard surfaces.

You want that brand spanking new iPod all scratched up? You want to risk a million pieces if you happen to drop it on the sidewalk? Of course not, so give it a good case. At least a quality "sleeve" or "skin."

Silicone skin

This is one of the more common types of skin. They come in a variety of colors, sizes, textures and even a few different shapes. The good ones are pretty tough and the really cheap ones are ... well ... really cheap. The cheapies tear easily and never seem to fit like the good ones. The good ones are a bit more expensive but worth it. None of them, however, offer much protection from that nose-dive onto concrete.

Leather or Vinyl Case

Leather and vinyl cases are gaining in popularity. They range from plain vanilla all the way to Bling! They provide some shock protection but not such good scratch protection unless they have some other type lining and a clear panel to protect the screen. Fashion seems to be the key with these cases.

Hard Case

Typical hard cases are made of plastic or aluminum. Again, they range from the cheap "junk," through the medium priced "adequate," all the way to "iPod armor." They also cover the gamut from "boiler plate" to elegance in appearance. Naturally, the aluminum cases tend to be better protection than the plastic. But some plastic cases are quite strong and shock absorbing. Pay particular attention to how the case fastens. Armor is not much good if the latch won't stay put.

Summary

With any sort of case, you'll probably want to access the headphone jack, docking port, lock button, etc. without removing the iPod from the case. Most of the good ones allow all that, but look carefully. Some, believe it or not, cover them up. Buy the best protection you can afford. Your iPod deserves it.

How to Keep Your Large Screen HDTV Under Warranty

Your new HDTV comes with a Limited Warranty. This is truly a limited coverage, and it only applies to parts for one year, and labor anywhere from 90 days to one year from date of purchase. Your TV warranty might have a separate time frame for the tube but it will only be two years at most. This doesn't sound like much when you figure to have your new TV for a much longer period and you certainly expect to keep it working longer than a year. There is a way to have better coverage and even additional benefits besides. You can extend the original warranty and upgrade to a more exclusive policy for just pennies a day.

If you bought the HDTV in a department or electronics store you perhaps remember the salesperson asking if you wanted an extended warranty. You probably said "No" because you wanted to avoid any extra cost while making your best deal. Well If this did happen to you, there is still plenty of time to get that extension plus more benefits besides. You can buy an extended warranty from a third party on most brands. I will explain how these work and where they are available.

First, let's examine what the original warranty covered. When shopping for the extended warranty, we would want the same terms of agreement (everything the manufacture covered originally) and maybe a few more bells and whistles. The extended warranty may overlap the original, but will cover a longer period.

The cost depends on the price to replace your TV, and will run from $200 to $600, or more. Typical plans are for 2 years or 4 years. Most contracts cannot extend the original warranty for more than 5 years. These can be purchased in a store or online. You may have to buy an extended warranty within the first 90 days or before the last 30 days of your original warranty.

Next, consider what risk you expect the TV to be subjected to. Some policies cover preventative maintenance and others cover little or none for simple repairs. Look for an option for In-home Repairs, a big savings when it comes to shipping a heavy large screen HDTV.

Finally you must decide if the additional $200 to $600 or more, is worth the investment.
HDTV's are an exception to avoiding the "extra expenses" such as an extended warranty,
because the newer technologies have many "black boxes" and "Niche" designs that require factory trained technicians to work on. Just like the new cars, they usually cannot be repaired by just anyone. Keeping this in mind, it usually makes sense to spend a few hundred dollars extending the warranty.

So, no matter where you bought your HDTV and as long as you do not wait to long, you can extend the manufacturers warranty and also improve the benefits with an extended warranty plan for just pennies a day.

Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV is a Top Performer

The Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV is an outstanding system like the V2500 series with some upgrades. The first noticeable difference you will recognize is that the Sony KDL-40V3000 looks more elegant than the V2500. The piano black frame is nice and somewhat reflective but not shiny and distractive. The base is sturdy and the rear is well designed so that the input and output cables will have no problem connecting. Overall, the Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 LCD HDTV is a very nice looking flat panel TV.

Like the V2500, the picture quality of the Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV is stunning, as is expected of Sony HDTVs. Glare is not a problem when watching in a bright room. It's almost as good as watching at night and the wide viewing angle is excellent. Fast action sequences are not as blurry as other LCD HDTVs thanks to the 10 bit processor and Non-HD programs are tolerable unlike other HDTVs. The picture quality of DVDs on the Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV is excellent. Needless to say, video gaming with a PS3 or Xbox360 is awesome.

Setup is quick and easy. The "Xross Menu Bar" menu is like the PS3's, simple and intuitive. It's basically like the menu in a window of Windows XP with File, Edit, etc. It's recommended that once you turn on the Sony KDL-40V3000 that you change the "vivid" setting to "normal" because normal just looks better. The red and green colors in vivid are "too much". The remote is easy to use and feels nice, but you should invest in a universal remote anyway if you plan to connect multiple devices to the TV.

If you don't have room or enough cash for a surround sound system, the speakers should be good enough. It's not going to sound like a home theater by itself, but the surround sound that the Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 LCD HDTV does offer is very good for a flat panel with a small frame.

The Sony Bravia KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV is selling at a good price right now and is one of the best HDTVs you can get for the value. You can't go wrong with this model if you don't want to jump to an XBR just yet. Just be careful to not become a couch potato once you have it hooked up. The picture quality is that good. I don't expect anything less from Sony so it's no surprise that the Bravia KDL-40V3000 1080p LCD HDTV is a top performer.

The Advantage of Having a Flat Screen TV

Aside from the low profile and an increase in space, a flat screen TV gives you the highest resolution among any other kind of television. This one of a kind television has a very low glare unlike a normal TV screen which catches light from any direction. The flat LCD TV does not deliver glare to its viewers. This television is like a mirror and is only sensitive to particular light interferences from a certain direction. The flat LCD TV will not reflect light back unless there a very dominant light from a specific location.

A normal TV contains what we call a cathode ray tube which is like a gun that fires out electrons at a fast speed to the surface of a CRT. The electrons that strike the surface then glow and produce a pixel on the monitor. This is the reason why screen of a CRT television needs to be curved because there must be enough depth for shooting of the image. A flat LCD TV has no cathode ray tube like those in the normal televisions. It uses a light source with filters that are polarized and in between them is a thin layer of liquid crystals. This makes the flat screen TV thin.

An LCD television is usually much more expensive but its power consumption is lesser as compared to a normal TV. So in the long run you actually save more money because your electricity bill is cut down. Another major advantage of the flat LCD is the precision of the image that it gives. There is no other clearer image on other kinds of television since it has no curved screen unlike the normal televisions. A flat TV also has a better resolution than most normal television sets. You will appreciate the difference when you watch the usual TV program, more when you watch DVD movies since they are of higher resolution than the everyday TV programs. Movie lovers will surely love the LCD TVs.

Plasma TVs - Invention of Necessity

Would you believe that scientists created the plasma TV while trying to come up with a better computer monitor? Well, this is the truth. The LCD and plasma televisions are a product of the development of computers. In fact, we owe so many advances in technology directly and indirectly to the development of the computer. It shouldn't be a surprise that our viewing pleasure is directly improved by the insatiability and constant inventiveness of scientists who are trying to solve their own daily annoyances and questions.

Way back in 1964 the development began at the University of Illinois. Back then monitors for computers were actually just simple televisions. You have to remember that TVs at this time were actually cathode ray tubes. In order to correctly display, they had to refresh themselves all the time. That was a huge obstacle when trying to use the television as a computer monitor. It was fine for watching television, but the resolution was awful for computers. Within the first year, the very first plasma screen was working.

Today, plasma TVs have millions of cells that make up the color and screen's resolution. The first plasma monitor consisted of only one cell. However, it was still moving in the right direction. As Liquid Crystal Displays became the norm for small monitors, plasma technology was halted. A few years later, large flat screen televisions became very popular. At the time, only the biggest flat screens could be made economically using plasma technology. These days, LCD screens as well as plasma flat panel televisions are popular and they are available in various sizes.

Plasma TV has made a big difference in how people view TV and use their computers. HDTV has become a sought-after item, as indicated by the number of plasma television screens being sold in retail stores. The cost of a flat screen, which was once too high for the average consumer, has since lowered substantially. Now, lots of people have these incredible flat screen televisions, and they're hooked on their clear high definition television programs, especially sporting events.

The world owes the scientists working at the University of Illinois a huge debt of gratitude. Because of their need for a new computer monitor, the world was introduced to plasma TV. Without them the large, unwieldy projection sets of old will still be standard and a clear, beautiful picture wouldn't be a reality. These scientists created a remarkable viewing experience some 30 years ago, and now individuals have the opportunity to view superb quality programming at an affordable price. What do you think the next great advance in entertainment viewing will be?

He recommends the folks at Best Deal Cables for their innovative HDMI cable, certified for 1080p and also has a unique clip to keep it secured. Until Now Cable Companies Have Been Slow To Provide HDTV

Only recently have the major cable companies started to roll out High Definition(HD) channels to their cable system customers. High Definition Television (HDTV) is a digital broadcasting signal that is replacing the old analog broadcasting signal. It offers better picture definition and resolution.

Traditional analog signal is broadcast in 720 x 480 (720 Width by 480 Height), 480i, video format. The new HDTV signal is either broadcast in 1280 x 720, 720i or 1920 x 1080, 1080i. The addition lines and size make for a much improved picture. It is almost like being there or at least looking through a window. Shows, movies, and sports are better then ever in HD. After getting my HDTV, I was debating getting rid of my Comcast cable because of the limited number of HDTV channels available. I was planning on switching to satellite, when Comcast finally stepped up their High Definition
(HD) line up. Comcast recently added and new group of HD channels to bring them to a total of 30 non preferred channels. Among the new channels added are the Food Network, Animal Planet, TLC, USA, CNN, HGTV, The History Channel, and Sci-Fi Channel. Additional there are also a handful of premium HD channels: HBO, Showtime, Cinamax, and Starz. With this new line up, Comcast has one of the better HD selections. It is not always about how many HD channels are available but more about the quality of the channels available.

While other satellite providers can say they have more HD channels, most of the additional channels are ones that most people and families would never watch. My Family, including the dog, loves to watch the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet and National Geographic Channel. The shows and picture quality can not be beat. I like to watch live sports on the networks HD channels and ESPN HD, Comcast SportsNet HD, and NFL Network HD. The picture and view is better then getting tickets and going to the game in person. My wife is constantly watching the Home and Garden TV and Food Network Channels, which I benefit from getting new dishes for dinner at least a couple times a week.

LCD Flat Screen TV - 7 Things to Consider When Buying LCD Flat Screen TV Online

So you have been thinking about the purchase of an LCD Flat Screen Tv.

In days past the choices on where to purchase highly regarded home theater equipment was pretty limited. If you were lucky enough to live near a big city you had several specialty electronics stores to choose from. If you lived in suburban America you had one or two big name electronics stores, while if you lived in rural America you were sometimes out of luck until you made an excursion out to the "big city".

Today, that has all changed with the arrival of the Internet. Anyone with access to the Internet now has access to a gigantic specialty electronics store right in their own home. Practically any LCD flat screen tv known to mankind can be purchase online with the click of a few buttons.

While the choices are limitless, it is more important then ever to do your research and become a smart consumer. The following 7 things will help you be an educated consumer and help you get the best bang for your hard earned buck.

1. What size tv do you need? - Know the size of your room and how much space you have available, but also know what is the best size for optimum viewing. If you sit to close you take the risk of noticing scan lines or pixels, but sit too far away and you begin to lose out on picture details and the immersive feel of a wide screen tv. It is recommended that you can sit anywhere between 1.5 and 3 times your HDTV screen size for the best viewing experience. So for a viewing distance of 8 feet (96inches) you would want an LCD that is at least 32 inches, but not more then 63inches. If your viewing distance was 12 feet (144 inches) you would want a screen size with a minimum of 46 inches and a maximum of 96 inches for the best viewing experience.

2. Know what features are important - Most people are going to want a 1080p tv, but what about contrast ratio, response times and refresh rates. Do you watch sports or movies with a lot of fast action? If you do then you will want something with low response times and may want to consider a 120Hz LCD for smooth motion. Is the look of the tv important. Some manufacturers have begun releasing LCDs with stylish bezels where the tv looks great when turned off as well as on. Some people will say that one of the disadvantages of shopping online is that you don't have the benefit of a helpful salesperson to guide you through the buying process. While that may be true of a specialty home theater store I would argue that you can get much more helpful information by doing a little research yourself online then you can from listening to some of the downright bad advice that is shared in some of the big electronic chain stores.

3. Price - Lets face it, the biggest advantage of buying online by far is the price. The local brick and mortar stores with there overhead costs simply can't match some of the prices that can be found online for the same exact LCD flat screen tv. But prices can also vary greatly from one online retailer to another. When you compare price make sure to take all things into consideration such as shipping fees and taxes when determining the actual cost of the LCD. The price savings can be significant, particularly on the mid to high end displays. At the same time, you can't simply rely on price alone when buying an LCD online which brings us to the next consideration.

4. Company reputation - Make sure the retailer is reliable. What good is it to save a bundle of money on a new tv only to find out that the retailer is shipping faulty products. Is there a company phone number to contact with questions? Is the site professional? Are all transactions placed on a secure connection? Have you heard of the retailer before? Check out customer rankings and reviews online. A good, reliable site will allow customers to place reviews of the product, but also of the service that they received from the retailer.

5. Return policy - Another extremely important consideration for buying an LCD tv online is what is the return policy? If the tv is damaged will they return it, no questions asked? If so, who is responsible for the shipping fee? Will they pay shipping or are you responsible for shipping? What if you want to exchange the tv? One of the things about going into a store is that you can actually take a look at the tv. What if you order the LCD, get it sent home and then realize it is not what you were expecting? Can you exchange the tv and if so what is the restocking fee if any? An upfront knowledge of the return policy is essential when purchasing an LCD online. The good online retailers will have a return fee that is as good or better then many of the brick and mortar stores.

6. Shipping - It is important to understand several things about shipping. What are the shipping costs? Will the product get damaged in shipping and if so who is responsible. Some people feel that there is a much greater chance of receiving a damaged product when buying online and having it shipped, however many times there is less handling of a tv from a large online retailer who ships the tv from their warehouse then there is in some of the local stores where tvs are shipped from one warehouse to another until it eventually enters the stores warehouse and then delivered to your home. Is white glove delivery available to bring the LCD directly into your home? Can you have someone setup the tv for you and if so what is the cost.

7. What about cables, accessories and extended warranties? - Cables, accessories and extended warranties have long been a major profit center for the brick and mortar stores. Do you ever notice how the sales personnel seem to save there most passionate sales pitches for the extended warranties? Many times that is when they have the opportunity to earn a larger commission based on the warranty sales. Today's flat panel LCD tvs are much more reliable then in years past and it is generally not worth the extra cost of an extended warranty. Not to mention cables. Stores often push the sales of overpriced cables saying that you need them in order to get a quality video and audio experience. These cables are one of the areas where a store can make a lot of money. The truth is that there is very little difference between cables, particularly the digital cable such as HDMI. Local stores won't carry the discount cables, so ordering cables online is a perfect way to save a great deal of money.

Buying an LCD flat screen tv online is a great way to get a high quality tv and save a lot of money at the same time. With a little bit of online research you can buy that perfect tv from a reliable retailer and have it conveniently shipped home where you and your family will be able to enjoy the latest movie release or sports event on your new big screen tv.

Check out my recommendation for the best online retailer for LCD flat panel tvs. For a review of some of the best LCD flat panels stop by http://familyhometheaterguide.com

VCRs with Video Converters

The solution

For quite some times the inventors on the line were pondering how to overcome this problem of conflict of standards of video tapes. Video tapes from one zone did not play in other using a different standard. Ultimately they came up with the idea of Video converting VCR as the solution to the problem. A video converting VCR could play any tape using any standard and thus it was possible to view a PAL standard tape on an NTSC TV or vice versa.

Multi-system VCR and Converting Multi-system VCR

A Converting Multi-system VCR is an improved version of the traditional Multi-system VCR. An ordinary multi-system VCR can play video tapes from anywhere in the world. But there is one big constraint. The video tape played on it must conform to the standard the VCR uses. This is the point where a converting multi-system VCR scores over the conventional VCR in a way that it does not require the video tapes to be played which conform to its standards. It just converts in the incoming incompatible signals to friendly signals and makes the viewing of the tape possible. The same result can be obtained by using an external converter or such other device attached to a traditional multi-system VCR, but the quality will be poorer compared to a convertible multi-system VCR.

How to make the choice of brands

Experience reveals that branded products normally works well compared to those cheaper editions of the video converting VCR available in the market. Not only that the reliability is far better than the other ones. A number of branded products are however, available in the market. They include companies like the Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, Sharp, and Hitachi etc. All of them manufacture regular multi- system VCR but not the video converting VCR. The only company that produced video converting VCR was Samsung, the SV-5000W, but they have discontinued the productions. A potential customer often makes the choice basing on the clarity of picture, quality of audio systems and the life span of the products. So today for video converting VCR, you will require a converter. Some standard converters are the TENLABs or a PAL-SECAM-NTSC compatible television set.

Why the video tapes require a video converting VCR to play

The three most widely followed standards of video tapes are NTSC, PAL and SECAM. All variations of these standards followed anywhere in the world is a combination of two or all of these standards. When the first colour TV was discovered, the NTSC system was introduced in United States and Canada way back in the year 1953. Among the eastern countries, Japan with the obvious influence of United States and its nearness to North America also uses the NTSC standard that uses 525 lines frame to play the video tapes. PAL, the short form for Phase Alternating Line, was introduced in the European Countries in 1960 and immediately gained popularity. The bandwidth of PAL and SECAM standard, that is used in France, are the same and their line frames match too. But SECAM standard transmits colour signals sequentially. NTSC standard is not popular outside the North American countries and SECAM is used only in France and its earlier colonies. Rest of the world uses PAL and even the South American countries use some variations of it.

Issues relating to choice of video converting VCR

Compatibility is the main issue involved in the choice of a video converting VCR. Viewers in North America will opt for a video converting VCR that will enable them to play video tapes with PAL or SECAM standards to be watched on their NTSC TV. Similarly and European or Asian viewer will like to play NTSC video tapes on their PAL compatible TV and these can be achieved with video converting VCRs. In case of the multi-system VCRs, the companies will require the buyer to purchase some PAL/NTSC video converter that would replace a multi-system TV, which becomes otherwise a necessity. There are also systems with the feature of a direct converter that converters all incompatible signals into device friendly signals making viewing possible.

About DVD and video converting VCR

Video tapes are quickly loosing grounds in favour of the new and much more compact DVDs. In fact, DVDs have become the new version for home entertainment. But the problems of incompatibility of standards are also present here and thus some video conversion is also required here. In this case the video converting DVD player is region-free. Sometimes a region-free DVD player is also named as a code-free DVD player, that can play DVDs using any standard from any zone. Incidentally, the standard for a DVD is the same as that of a video tape, namely, the PAL, SECAM, and NTSC. Like Video converting VCR and multi-system VCR, there are several types, models and brands of a code-free DVD player. However, the leading companies are the same as in case of multi-system VCRs like Samsung, Sony, Panasonic, Sharp, Hitachi, Toshiba, and Phillips etc. The code-free DVD players can play any CD or DVD using any standard procured from any zone on a non-convertible device. With a region free or code-free DVD player you can play a SECAM DVD from France or a PAL DVD from Europe on your NTSC TV. However while buying you have to choose between multifarious models with different price tags depending on your requirement and budget. The prices will also be different basing on the brands and specifications.

About the prices for video converting VCR

Now that a direct video converting VCR is out of market, the possible alternative will be a separate video converter converting your multi-system VCR into a video converting VCR. The cost of branded products is on the higher side. For example if you opt for a product from companies like Hitachi, Panasonic, Sony, Toshiba, Sharp, or Phillips, it may cost you on average $350 that would be higher than the non-branded cheaper qualities available. But the warranty and service provided in case of branded items, compensates in the long run. However, fierce competitions in the commercial world have forced companies to come up with cheaper versions, around $100 per item and in multiples of that amount. For example, Samsung provides a Hi-Fi multi-system, with tape conversion facilities and a world-based TV tuner at approximately $400. However branded models ordinarily will cost in the range of $500 to $1,200 depending on product in respect of multi-system VCR converters and also SVHS playback systems.

The affect of visuals

It is a well established fact that a visual is worth hundreds of words. It is quite easy to apprehend the message with a visual rather than words or any other type of interaction. Even the cavemen used to express their messages by means of pictures drawn on the walls of caves, where a single picture could depict a thousand messages. That is why visual expression is always popular. In earlier days it was movies and then gradually with the coming up of home theater and televisions, video took over. But initially, with the difference of standards such videos were confined to a particular zone. To solve this shortfall, the video converting VCR and later with the advent of DVD the region-free DVD player came into existence. Now the restrictions of standards and difference of geographical zones are no more a hindrance to free viewing of video tapes, CDs and DVDs by the viewers with video converting VCR systems and region-free DVD players available.

110-220 Volt Electronics - A multisystem TV is a TV capable of receiving and displaying different video systems like PAL, SECAM and NTSC. You'll be able to operate a multisystem TV in 99% of the world. Their dual voltage design allows them to be plugged into either a 110 voltage source or a 220 voltage source. In some cases, the plug on the television will not fit your country's outlet, so an inexpensive plug-adapter will be needed. They can generally be picked up at an electronics store such as http://www.planetomni.com for $1.95. With a multisystem TV, such as a plasma, CRT tube type, LCD or DLP, you'll likely need a codefree (sometimes called region free) DVD player. These exist in many forms. When used with a PAL-NTSC TV you'll be able to see the full 625 lines of resolution available in the PAL system and the full 525 lines used in the USA NTSC system. There exists a converting type of DVD player which is codefree in that it can read all of the world's 6 regions and both standards, PAL and NTSC. 140,000 other products are available here: http://www.planetomni.com Tel. # 800-514-2984

Portable DVD Players are becoming very popular these days because they give you the ability to take all of your favorite movies, music, and pictures while you're on the go. With a Portable DVD Player you'll never have to be stuck in a car, airplane, or hotel room bored again!

It's important that you know what you will be using your Portable DVD Player for before you buy it so that your all of your needs are met. Many people buy them based on a single attribute, such as the screen size of the player. Though buying the biggest screen size can enhance your viewing experience, what good is a Portable DVD Player if you can't carry it around with ease?

Below you will find a few things that our product specialists recommend our customers to look for in before buying a Portable DVD Player.

Screen Size: The screen size of a Portable DVD Player can make a significant impact on the viewing experience. If the screen is too small you won't be able to see details that might play a big role in the movie. On the other hand, if the screen is too big the DVD Player might loose its "portability", making it difficult to carry around.

Battery Life: If you plan on using the Portable DVD Player for long periods of time without being on charge, you may want to consider the amount of playback time the battery provides. If the battery life isn't longer than two hours, then you probably wont be able to watch a movie from beginning to end. Try to get one that can offer more than two hours of playback time (so it lasts longer than the length of an average movie).

Disc Compatibility: You may want to consider the types of discs that the Portable DVD Player is compatible with before making your purchasing decision. For example, if you want to burn DVD's from your computer, make sure that it can play the DVD-R or DVD-RW formats.

Portability: You may want to consider how "Portable" the DVD Player is before making a purchasing decision. If the DVD Player is too big and bulky, it might be difficult for you to carry around. Though as technology advances, even Portable DVD Players with large screen sizes are becoming extremely compact.

Included Accessories: The accessories that come with the Portable DVD Player should have a big impact on your purchasing decision. If you find one at a great price, but lacks many of the accessories that other Portable DVD Players come with you might just end up having to pay more in the long run. Consider accessories such as AC/DC Adapters, Remote Controls, AV Cables, S-Video Cables, Car Adapters, Car Mounts, Headphones, etc.

AV Cables: Audio and Video Cables, which transfer the audio and video information from one electronic device to another.

S-Video (Separated Video): An analog video signal that carries the video data as two separate signals.

AC Adapter: An external power supply for your camera or other electronic device that converts AC (alternating current) from a wall plug to DC (direct current). Some AC adapters also double as rechargers.

Drink Healthier Coffee and Benefit Financially?

If someone is going to drink coffee anyway, which millions of people worldwide do every single day -- sometimes multiple times per day -- wouldn't it make sense for them to drink a healthier coffee if there was one available? Nowadays, they are mixing everything with everything and making hybrids of all kinds. There are actually coffees out there that are being made, that not only have less caffeine and less harmful ingredients in them, but also an additional 'healthy' ingredient that even further promotes one's overall good health and well-being.

An example of one such coffee, is one that is being made using Ganoderma Lucidum as an additive. This powerful ingredient, has been used for over 5,000 years in traditional Chinese medicine and has been a highly revered ingredient for thousands of years. It is made from the Lingzhi mushroom and is an extremely powerful antioxidant on top of having many other medicinal qualities and properties.

People who drink a cup of this coffee every morning and even throughout the day, feel a million times better than those who drink regular coffee, that is filled with caffeine, toxins, chemicals, preservatives, etc, etc.

So How Would One Benefit Financially From Drinking Healthier Coffee?

Well, certain companies out there have created ways for people to drink healthier coffee, share it with their friends, and then actually earn an income from the people that they share it with. Sharing good coffee that is very healthy for you is not a bad thing to share with people, especially since most people drink coffee, and it is generally looked at as being bad for you!

I could go on and on about healthier coffee and how it has changed my life and the lives of those I have shared it with, not only as far as health benefits are concerned, but also financial benefits such as having residual income come in every month from people that you know are drinking healthier coffee and bettering their lives.

If you want to learn how you can drink Healthier Coffee and also benefit monetarily from it, please visit my health blog at http://www.organo-gold.blogspot.com

Disadvantages of Plasma TVs

While they certainly have their advantages, there are several disadvantages of a plasma TV that you need to know about. Educating yourself about these flat screen televisions will certainly help you in making your final decision. After all it's your money, you deserve to know the facts before spending it. I will share with you the first (3) you can read about the fourth on my blog.

Disadvantage # 1: Does size matter?

Plasma TV's are readily available in sizes 42" to 65". But what if you wanted something smaller? Perhaps your wall space or entertainment center will only accommodate a 37" TV? Or perhaps you want to put one in the bathroom so you can watch your favorite program while getting ready in the morning before work? Well then a plasma is not going to work in this scenario. Your only option if you still want a flat screen TV may be to go to an LCD TV.

Disadvantage # 2: Sunlight...Natures gift...The plasma's curse

Does your TV room have a lot of natural light coming through your windows? While this is wonderful thing to keep a room lively and cheerful, sunshine is the arch nemesis of the plasma TV. Why is this so? Simply put it is because the plasma screen is made of glass and can reflect a whole lot of light. What does this mean for you? Besides an annoying glare it could also contribute to a washout of color. Even indirect or ambient lighting can cause a contrast ratio reduction, especially in black colors produced on the screen. So if your heart is set on a plasma TV then look for room darkening shades and curtains that you can use during TV watching times. You also may want to look for a plasma with a glare reducing shield. The verdict is still out on these but every little thing will help. Otherwise you may opt for an LCD.

Disadvantage # 3: Were you planning on hooking up to your computer?

With the advent of downloading movies and video's on the Internet many people like the idea of using their flat screen as a huge monitor! Couple this with the use of an external hard drive to store hundreds of your favorite movie titles and it is apparent that you want a TV that can connect to your computer and get a High Def picture. Here is the thing. Many plasma TV's don't allow you to do this. So here is my recommendation. Check first. Some of the newer models will allow you to do this. Or you may have to go to the next model up from the one you are looking at to get this feature. Otherwise an LCD may be your only choice.

After reading this article you might think I don't like Plasma TV's and favor LCD. That is not necessarily the case because they both have their benefits and advantages. If you would like to read about the differences between a Plasma and LCD feel free to read our website article.

Uncovering the Facts About Wii Downloads

With an economy which seems to suck the money right out of your pocket, many gamers have turned to the internet to satisfy their entertainment needs. Downloading Wii games through the web has become increasingly popular since the release of the system. Companies like Wii Media offer access to an entire library of games for the same price as a single game sold at a retail store. In addition, a subscription to their service often provides you with access to movies, music, and TV shows for free. With offers like this, it is no surprise that downloading games through the internet grows more popular in Wii households every day.

You will find that there are generally two types of sites offering Wii game downloads. The first type charge a price per file download. The second offers you access to an unlimited number of games for a flat membership fee. The approach you decide to take will depend on your needs. If you are only interested in one or two specific games than paying by the download will be cheaper. However, if you are looking to download a large number of Wii games, a membership site would be your best choice. The benefits of downloading through a membership site include receiving game updates and faster downloads.

In order to download Wii games, you will often be required to download special software. This software is used to connect to the site's main server and to other users of the site.

Beware of sites offering free Wii games. They sound too good to be true and most often they are. Not only are most of these sites illegal, but chances are they will infect your console with a virus. A credible Wii download site will include a full money back guarantee with no questions asked, 24/7 tech support and service, software, tools and accessories at no extra cost, and all media including games, movies, music and TV shows. Also, look for a site that offers both old games and new releases.

With the rise of internet downloads, gamers no longer have to leave the comfort of their home or wait in lines at the store to pick up new games. Instead, Wii gamers can download any game on the market from their couch. This whole process takes just a few minutes and can be done at a fraction of the cost to acquire a new game. The only effort required is avoiding the scams that plague the internet. Shop smartly to find the safe, secure site that satisfies your gaming needs.

Help Choosing The Best HDTV Television

The best HDTV television is a prime example that consumers of today must keep-up with technology. Not only is technology becoming fast-paced, but it also tends to confuse many of the consumers. How often did you made a mistake in the purchase of an appliance? Just to discover afterwards that the appliance you recently bought is out of date or just became obsolete yesterday.

After the first prototype, the analog TV was mass produced and became a household icon. An odd-looking wooden box with big slide covers, the first TVs previously resemble a wooden cabinet. The analog TV, however, was able to capture a scene unlike any way a photograph can capture it in a still picture. The analog TV was able to capture a moving picture and after several decades, the analog TV advanced to digital technology.

Digital technology equipped the common TV with better features such as a clearer and sharper image, better audio output, and the means for a live transmission. After adopting the digital technology, the TV experienced an immediate upgrade almost every two years. This is the reason why consumers of today are faced with a challenge on what brand of TV to purchase. How long will the purchased TV last in the market? Or did they purchase the TV that is right for their needs.

Presently, among the advertised TV technologies, the best HDTV television is in its prime. TV manufacturers such as Sony, Sharp, Panasonic and Optoma have adopted this HDTV technology and combined it with their individual expertise. This variety of high definition TVs in the market means more power to the consumer and more option for their needs.

Some TV manufacturers of high definition TVs focus in minimizing image trails. Image trails are created by moving objects in TV screens. As more and more TV are made in large sizes, these image trails became more visible. Likewise, HDTV televisions usually offer automatic adjustment of brightness or contrast in dark or light scenes of a movie.

Also, choosing an HDTV television will depend on presentation and size. If a consumer wants to have the biggest HDTV television, he can opt instead for a HDTV projector that can fit a screen on the wall. In the end, the best HDTV television is unique for every consumer and is still largely dependent on other factors such as audio output and life span.

The Battle Between Plasma and LCD TV

When choosing which new television you want to go to your home, determine first the kind of technology that best suits your needs. In the area of flat screen TVs, you have the option between plasma and an LCD television. The workings behind these two kinds of TVs are different. Plasma technology utilizes gases like argon and xenon in order to deliver their pictures while LCD technology uses a layer of crystals which respond to electric currents. The crystals will move depending on the amount of electric current that passes through. Which one should you choose? Here are some things that might be useful to know before making your purchase.

The life spans of both plasma and LCD TVs are almost the same. However, LCD TVs are said to last longer than plasma. But both will definitely last for decades. Their quality in terms of picture is also almost equal. Some LCD televisions may provide you with better images though. But generally speaking, there is minute difference. Just like LCD televisions, plasma has also produced models that are also power saving.

LCDs have no burn-ins and are at no risk for any burn-ins whatsoever unlike the plasma televisions. But this is also being changed as the newer generation of plasma televisions have lesser chances for burn-in. LCD televisions are thinner and lighter compared to plasma. They can save more space in you home. But the difference is small also, just an inch or two. Plasma televisions are delicate to handle and are harder to transport as opposite to LCD TVs. This is an advantage for the LCD televisions.

Ask yourself, does the depth of the television matter to you? Not because it is thin, it also has a quality picture display. As a matter of fact, plasma technology even has a brighter and vibrant image than the LCD. Do you often move about? Usually a television remains in a spot for quite a long time.

Do the weight and the delicateness of transportation affect your decision to buy? What you must really consider when buying a television is more on the picture quality. Plasma have superb viewing angle and the contrast is not lost even if you move away. The viewing angle of a plasma TV is 160 degrees, which means that you can view the images from almost anywhere in the room. Larger model televisions like 40 inches are cheaper. Models for larger LCDs are still being enhanced to be able to deliver the same quality.

Consider how you will be using your television. Are you going to use it for your computer? Or will it be totally for TV viewing only? If that is the case, plasma television will be a good quality for purely TV viewing. Depending on the function you want for your TV, the kind of TV you will purchase will depend on it. The display of an LCD TV is magnificent. It also has niche uses.

Let these things be guide in you purchase for you new television.

New VIA Processors on the Way

With all the hype around the launch of the new Intel AtomTM processors, you would have thought that these were the only low power processor options for sub-notebook PC's. They are not. VIA already has a range of low power processors, and you'll find one in the HP2133 sub-notebook. The base processor in the HP2133 is a VIA C7-M ULV 1.2GHz and this goes up to 1.6GHz for the top of the range machine, which runs Vista Business. Some of the reviewers of the computer have commented that the machine seems very hot when running, and the fan runs most of the time. The running fan is a large contribution to the low battery life reported on the HP2133.

At Computex, VIA has announced some new processors. They were developed under the codename of Isaiah, but have been rebranded as the VIA Nano processors. They vary in speed from the 1.0 GHz U2300 that has a power consumption of 5 watts to the 1.8 GHz L2100 consuming power at the rate of 25 watts. As a comparison a 25Watt bulb is either very low light, or is one of the new low power usage bulbs. You should notice that the Nano family has the same pin configuration as the C7 processor currently in use in the HP2133. You should expect to see an upgrade to the HP2133 to run the new processors, possible before the end of the summer.

At the moment there are a number of different computer manufacturers and OEM's that are sitting on the fence before committing to either the AtomTM or the Nano processor for a new range of sub-notebooks. One thing is clear, once sales figures are announced for the various sub-notebooks on the market today, many of these manufacturers will want a slice of the sales. They will wait to see what comes of the theoretical power difference between some real machines running real software. It is one thing to run a processor in test conditions, and another to try it out under the real conditions of day by day computing for real users in differing weather and work conditions.

In the future VIA are looking at producing even faster processors in the Nano family and reducing the power used by the individual processor. There are even ideas for a Nano dual-processor that should please even the most power-hungry user.

Tony Hawk Vert Skateboarding Superstar

When Tony Hawk first started out in skateboarding there were only 2 different styles of skateboarding. One was vert skateboarding which consisted of skating in pools and ramps and the other was freestyle which was flatland skateboarding. Freestyle Skateboarding is responsible for the modern day street skateboarding you see in all the youtube videos where you have people hurling themselves down stairs and ledges.

The future of vert skateboarding for Tony Hawk is very optimistic. Tony doesn't blame anyone for not picking up vertical skateboarding. It takes a very long time just to learn how to drop in and once you have that part wired you have to figure out how to keep your speed to get to the top of the other side of the ramp. This particular practice is known as pumping the ramp. Once you get that part down it takes years to learn how to do even the basic of tricks such as a backside or front side air. Vert Skateboarding is a well respected sport and the limits are being pushed continuously.

There are newcomers to the spectrum, not very many, but there are new up and comers out there. Additionally there is a new breed of skate park skateboarder that knows how to get up on the vert walls and is able to skate the normal street skating stuff as well as carving corners and transfers and that is great! It keeps them well rounded and a well rounded skateboarder is the best type to be.

If you want to learn more about Tony Hawk you can read this article here. Additionally you can go to Skateboarding Magazine to find more skateboard related content.

How to Build Your Own Skateboard - A Beginner's Guide

Buying a skateboard can be expensive, especially if you want it to be customized. There is a much less expensive alternative though that you can take pride in. It is easier than you might think to be able to build your own skateboard. This way you don't have to take what is offered out there. You can have the best of all the options for the type of skating you want to be a part of.

The first think you need to think about when you build your own skateboard is what size you want the deck to be. If you are a beginner to skateboarding or a larger size then you should go with a wider size of deck. If you want to be able to do tons of tricks with ease then a smaller deck size can help you to be successful. The width of your feet should also be taken into consideration. The wider they are, the wider deck you will need to be able to skateboard comfortably.

You can choose to paint the deck a solid color or you can add graphics to it. Stencils will allow you to easily put flames, a skull, or any other design on it you want. Make sure you use high quality paint that will last. You also want to put a clear coat over the top of it to protect it. You don't want your graphics to get messed up due to normal wear and tear that occurs when you use your skateboard.

It may amaze you to discover all of the different types of wheels you can choose from when you build your own skateboard. You will find that the colors of them are plentiful as well. The hardness of them is another aspect you want to consider before you purchase them. This is referred to as that durometer and the most common hardness used is the 99a. You should be looking for wheels with a diameter from 52mm to 55 mm. Of course you may want to use something more unique in order to accomplish the skateboard you have in mind.

The larger size of wheels you choose, the faster your skateboard is going to move. If you are looking for speed then that is something to keep in mind. If your main use of the skateboard though will be to do tricks, then smaller sized wheels are going to be more beneficial to you. Keep the terrain that you will be skating on in mind though too while selecting wheels. You are likely going to want something that is very versatile.

To hold the wheels in place, you will need bearings as well. You need to buy good quality bearings as this is one part of your skateboard that will wear out rapidly if you don't. There are different grades of bearings so take the time to find the ones that are right for you. They are going to be either 1,3,5,7,or 9. Generally you will want to use either a 3 or a 5 when you build your own skateboard.

The trucks will need to be placed underneath your deck as this is the axle system for any skateboard. You need to make sure that the width of them is a good match with the deck you have selected. Pay close attention to the overall height of them as well. The lower it is the easier you will be able to perform tricks and flips so they are a good match with small wheels. When you go with larger sized wheels you will also need to use a higher trunk.

It is very simple to build your own skateboard, even for a beginner. Make sure you use only quality parts though so it will be durable. You want to put all the pieces together correctly as well to prevent accidents from occurring. There are step by step instructions and well as videos found online to help you. With some basic skills and basic tools you will be able to make a great skateboard for a very low price.

Skateboarding is a popular sport in the world. You can see many people especially young people ride skateboards at street. You may not only be attracted by their skills but also the outlook of their skateboard decks. Many skateboarding players show their personal styles through their skateboards with cool patterns. SkateboardPro.com is an online skateboards and accessories supplier provides you many brands of complete skateboards and accessories.

The Nikon D80 SLR Camera - A Kaleidoscope of Colors!

My Nikon D80 SLR Camera Review

Late in 2006 Nikon, a relatively unknown Digital SLR Camera manufacturer, released onto the market what they called the Nikon D80 SLR Camera, whose combined parts were made up of the best features from its predecessors, namely the Nikon D50, D70 and the D2x.

Up to this point, photographic enthusiasts were relying heavily on the bulkier 6 Megapixel Nikon D70 for their digital photographic needs, or a combination of the Canon EOS 300D and Sony Alpha A100 which were, to say the least, leading the pack up till then.

To put it in layman's terms, here was a camera that well meaning photographers could associate with! Unlike the rangefinders of old where you had to wear an eye patch like Captain Jack Sparrow just to squint into the view finder to find your target, this camera comes standard with a bigger optical viewfinder that has a a 0.94x magnification, a welcome relief to the eyes!

For those whose inclination does not include squinting your eyes, you'll be pleased to note that the Nikon D80 SLR Camera spots the D200's characteristically large 2.5 inch rear LCD display with built-in slideshow option which, in this day and age, comes in handy when you want to show off the images of your nephew's Bar Mitzvah long before you even to use them as a screensaver on your boss' work computer!

In the hand, Nikon D70 enthusiasts will not be disappointed as the Nikon D80 SLR Camera grip feels much like it's predecessor, though lighter, and with a large 18-135mm DX kit lens which make a killer photographic tool for the amateur and intermediate photographer, as if this was all, this baby can accommodate any lens from other Nikon SLR Cameras, a feature which has left the competition wiping their brows as each of their cameras can only take specific lens.

What I love the most about the Nikon D80 SLR Camera is not so much the large LCD display screen, though this comes in handy on San Diego beach when vying for attention with sweltering heat whilst the rest of the country freezes, but the noise level of the shutter.

In case you're not familiar with SLR Cameras, ISO and noise can make or break a camera but thank goodness the noise levels are relics of the past for, with the Nikon D80 SLR Camera, you'll constantly be gawking over and over at the LCD screen just to make sure that shoot was taken...it's that quiet folks!

Add to the mix a 10.2-megapixel CCD image sensor optimized to capture all the details of the moon!

Having worked in the safari environment for the best part of my life, I used to receive mixed reactions from Rich Texan tycooons when shooting Buffalo or Elephant from a hideout with a loud and noisy camera, until one "very concerned" tourist decided to buy me the Nikon D80 SLR Camera, after which the only part noisy was my mouth around the boma (camp fire) in the evenings during dinner when oows and aaahs were going around when eyes saw my pictures...they were, and still are that vivid and crystal clear.

I attribute the picture resolution to RAW technology, a feature the Nikon D80 SLR Camera has to take pictures in their raw format (like negatives), allowing storage of more pixels than an ordinary .jpg image would allow.

If it bothers you when wondering how humans lived before cellular phones, then perhaps it's time to begin another serious journey into how we managed with film and not memory cards!

It's no wonder then that the Nikon D80 SLR Camera is leagues apart from its competitors. With SDHC memory with capacities up to 32GB, which is about the size of over 1 million 36 roll 35 mm film, you have a lifetime of picture taking ahead of yourself.

Brace yourself, you may never be the same person you were before!

The Nikon D80 SLR Camera is simply a revolutionary camera that will have you and the rest of the family scheming up routes to travel together as a family just to capture amazing images that will give new meaning to family vacationing!

Whether you're pretending to be shooting pictures of little Johnny playing soccer at school when in fact you're eyeng the soccer moms on the far side of the pitch, you'll always have a Nikon best price guarantee with the Nikon D80 SLR.

Super Mario Bros 3 - Top 5 Drug References

There is more than meets the eye to this legendary Nes game debated as the greatest game of all time. The objective of the game is to rescue Princess Toadstool from King Bowser by traveling through 8 worlds. All this while collecting ability gaining "power ups". These power ups come in strange and unusual items. Here are the Top 5 Drug References in the world of Super Mario Bros. 3.

5.) Warp Pipe

On first impression it appears to be a flute until Toad proclaims.

"One toot on this whistle "warp pipe" will take you to a far away land!" Toad

It might not be odd for a little kid to read that statement but to anyone else it might be a red flag right away. Toad is an unusual guy to begin with a Mushroom for a head and also living in a Mushroom House. Toad makes it very easy to travel from World 1 to any World instantly though. Got to hand it to him there.

4.) Leaf/Fire Flower/Pipes

The Fire Flower was introduced in the previous installment Mario Bros. 1 but the leaf makes an appearance just for this game. These two power ups could reference to a variety of hallucinogenic plants. People commonly associate the Fire Flower with cannabis since the original game. It is unknown if Nintendo meant any correlation as the game dates back to the original in 1985. That is when the popular Mario Bros. themes were added to the game.

The pipes in this game were different from the pipes in the original. There was a larger variety of sizes, shapes, and colors of pipes in this game. Warp Pipes only appear in this game after using a Warp Pipe on the World selection screen.

3.) White Mushroom House

This was the rare Mushroom House for completing coin challenges (one challenge in each world). There are many types of Mushrooms in the Mario games but here are ones collected from Nes.

Poison Mushroom (Bad Mushroom)

Grow Mushroom (Normal Mushroom)

1-up Mushroom (Great Mushroom)

White Mushroom (Rare Secret Mushroom)

(ex. Coin Challenge World 1 Level 4: It is a automatic side scrolling stage. Collect all the coins and you will be rewarded with a White Mushroom House with a P-Wing inside.)

2.) World 7 Pipe World

A whole world dedicated to pipes and some challenging puzzle themed levels. All this while avoiding the same Goombas, Koopas, Piranhas, and more. It is more or less the Black Market of the Super Mario Bros. 3 game except more difficult. The main map music in World 7 sounds like a slum theme.

1.) The Frog Suit

When you first enter a World 3 Mushroom House you have a random choice between a Leaf, Fire Flower, or Frog Suit. Mario opens a treasure chest and receives a Frog Suit. Toad escorts Mario out of the Mushroom House. The concept of licking Toad might have been introduced to the World of Mario Bros.

Final Fun FactMario Bros. 3 is the most sold Nintendo game of all time not including the original since it was bundled with the Nintendo Entertainment System.

How to Photograph a Wedding - Part 2

During The Service and Signing Register

Always be discreet and non disruptive in the church. If you have been given permission try to capture the exchange of rings but be very discreet. Any shots you miss at this point can be posed after the service. . In the majority of cases the Minster will wish to allow a proper signing and then allow you to pose a shot. Congratulate the couple using their new name, this will raise a smile.

You should now leave quickly and go to the bottom of the aisle.

There are two ways of capturing the aisle shot, either pre-focus on a chosen spot and take the shot as the couple reach it or, ask the couple to stop. If you get them to stop, focus quickly then ask them to start walking again, at this point take the shot.

Outside the Church

You should now (weather permitting) go outside, check exposure and stop the Bride and Groom in the doorway, take a minimum two shots, one full length and one three-quarter length.

Posing the Bride and Groom

Turn their bodies inward toward each other and ask them to lean their heads toward each other too. As mentioned in the portraiture session, this is about illustrating and capturing the intimacy of the day; to do this effectively you need to exaggerate some of the poses.

The groom should stand on the right of the bride. Ask them to hold each other's right hands. This technique will pull their bodies naturally closer. The bride should then hold the bouquet in her left hand using it to cover the clasped right hands. The groom should have his left hand gently on the brides back, ensuring the fingers are not protruding from her side.

Start with the Biggest Groups and Work Downward

You should start with the biggest group and reduce it for subsequent shots, this way people do not have the chance to wander off. This approach also allows the Bride and Groom to relax during a few group shots in preparation for their own photo session nearer the end of the day.

The Bridal Party

With all the large group shots taken you should now concentrate on the Bridal party, anyone who has been missed can be taken later at the reception.

Taking the Bridal party somewhere away from the other guests is advantageous. It allows you to work undisturbed by large numbers of guests all wanting to congratulate and photograph the Bride and Groom. It will also allow the Bridal party to relax into the photo shoot.

At the New Location

On arrival at your chosen location your first sequence of shots should be those, which include the parents of the Bride and Groom. Next you should shoot the Bride and Groom with both sets of parents and then with each of their parents in turn.

If you did not visit the Bride's house earlier then you should take a shot of both sets of parents on their own. It is probably a long time since the parents had a photograph of themselves together and looking so smart, this shot is usually a good seller.

Sport Shirts and Shorts That Help Fight the Heat

If you are planning to camp for a long time, then carry along with you extra sport shirts and shorts, especially during the summertime. There are different varieties of sport shirts and shorts available on the market that will allow you to keep cool and dry as it removes the sweat from the skin.

There are some sport shirts available on the market that use bamboo carbon odor control to prevent smelliness. In addition, these shirts are designed with an ultraviolet protection factor of fifty. The people who manufacture bamboo carbon claim the material will keep everything from food to feet smelling fresh for days. Maybe there is something to these claims because after are fish for two days in warm weather, then you can tell that this shirt smells relatively fresh. These shirts are also worked as a lightweight windbreaker. However, with its thin collar and oddly shaped breast pockets, the shirt looks too much like, well, a fishing shirt. If it resembled a casual dress shirt, then you would still wear it everywhere.

There are also some long-sleeve crew shirts that are made with from a vapor wick fabric, which the manufactures claims will draw perspiration to the exterior, where it evaporates quickly. The fabric does this through the use of millions of "hydrophobic" fibers. These shirts are lightweight and work well as a first layer under a jacket or windbreaker, but may be too thin to be worn by itself on cold, windy days. On the positive side, the material does not feel slick and cold like other synthetic fabric. In fact, it almost feels like cotton.

With some of the long sleeve tees that are available on the market are made from polyester and spandex, but the manufacturers claim they have the ability to stop bacteria from forming in the fiber, which reduces odors and they block harmful UV rays. In addition, they claim that the "high-twisted yarn" keeps you cool at all times. These shirts do a pretty good job of keeping you cool and comfortable under hot outdoor conditions. The drawback with most of these shirts are that they are offered in only bright colors that are sure to scare fish away.

If you chose your apparel wisely, then you will want cloths that are not too long, too short, in gaudy colors and most of all you will want them to be practical. During the summer months it will undoubtedly be hot and will only get hotter, and you are probably a big fan of wearing shorts. When you spend a lot of time outdoors fishing, camping, and hunting then you want an inexpensive pair of shorts that look good and are fit for a day in the outdoors.

There are shorts that are available with six different pockets and are perfect for any fishing trip, as they are designed with the angler in mind. These shorts feature two front trouser pockets, two back angled hook 'n' loop pockets, and two big pockets for beverages or extra gear, these work well for the weekend lake cruiser or the serious tournament fisherman alike. You can find these shorts that are made from soft one hundred percent cotton, which are extremely comfortable, because they are light and airy enough to keep my backside from heating up after sitting the boat's vinyl seats. The shorts also come with built in belt, so the shorts stayed exactly where they were supposed to be.
